Information

The 200 hour Teacher Training is a fabulous way to Deepen your Practice. Whether or not you feel a calling to teach yoga, these trainings will bring a new light of understanding not only on HOW to practice, but on WHAT we are practicing. If you want to become more skillful in your asana practice, these trainings will take you to the next level; If you want more clarity in your life, these trainings will show you how to develop your practice of yoga as a whole, and use it to live more fully.

After all, the more we understand something from deep within, the more capable we become in explaining that thing to others.

If you’ve been practicing asana for some time, you may have some idea of how this physical practice can bleed over into your life, away from the asana room. Sometimes the changes we experience are graceful & easy, but other times the changes this practice invokes can be topsy-turvy. In the 200 hour training the philosophy behind this practice is ‘un-packed’ in a group dialogue. This provides a framework of how to open up to change, practice effectively and ultimately surrender to freedom in our lives.

Information

As one of the mentors for the 300 hour program, it’s my privilege to walk with a small group of students down their road of development. This is the time that students begin to apprentice within my classroom. Typically I take about 4 to 8 students to work with during this 6 month period. We meet as a group 2 times a month, but as an apprentice, you assist my class once a week. This is an amazing opportunity, to be a part of a classroom setting, to hear and see what happens in a class & to participate in a subtle, but profound way. Apprenticing MY teachers has been the best catalyst for growth in my teaching & I love helping new teachers develop in the way I’ve been taught.

As well, this gives us time to know one another quite personally. Whatever area my apprentices are working on, I’m here to help guide them. This can range from understanding in the body, to exploring meditation, to figuring out what their niche in teaching is & how to develop and grow in that area. This is when newer teachers find their voice, and when existing teachers refine their skills.

Dedication is required in this 6-month program, yet students have a good deal of freedom in their studies. As a mentor, I don’t assign homework, but I do suggest readings from time to time, and encourage a specific course of journaling.
